Borge ten Hagen

Borge ten Hagen studies viola with Jürgen Kussmaul at the Robert Schumann Hochschule Düsseldorf. In June 2011 he was awarded his Diplom. He attended master classes with Antonello Farulli, Walter Küssner, Wolfgang Marschner, Yfrah Neaman and Igor Ozim. As a scholarship holder of the DAAD he spent a semester in Boston/USA where he also studied chamber music with the Boston Trio. Together with his ensemble he was chosen for a performance at the Honors Concert in the Harvard Paine Hall.

 

He won several prizes at the German national competition Jugend Musiziert and was a member of the German national youth orchestra as well as of the Harvard Radcliffe Orchestra in the USA. In 2009 a concert tour with a chamber music group from the Robert Schumann Hochschule Düsseldorf led him to China. Already at the beginning of his studies he was admitted as a scholarship holder into the German National Merit Foundation. Furthermore, he is promoted by „Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now“ and was awarded the scholarship of the German state Nordrhein-Westfalen.
